I guess you can say I was born with a pen in my hand. I’ve been writing stories for as long as I can remember. When I was 12, a friend and I would create mini-books and pass them back and forth during class. (We were never caught.)
I’ve self-published a middle-grade novel – The Mirror of Doom – under the pen name Bailey Baxter, and I’m currently hard at work on the second book in the series. (You can read the first couple chapters of The Mirror of Doom in my writing samples.)
I’ve also spent over 10 years of my life writing direct response sales copy. I trained under master copywriter Clayton Makepeace, which was a better education than I could have gotten in any college. Since then, I’ve written hundreds of pieces of copy for the health and financial industries – including special reports and long-copy landing pages. (Some of this copy is included in my writing samples.)
Why choose me to be YOUR business book ghostwriter?
- My Well-Rounded Business Experience – I have a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut, with a concentration in marketing. I have supported computers and networks in the insurance industry… billed and collected accounts receivables for a mental health clinic… provided support to commercial loan officers in the banking industry… and managed the accounting department for an event marketing company. Plus, I’ve started and successfully ran my OWN copywriting business.
- My Knack for Writing in Different Voices and Tones – As a copywriter, I’ve had to write in the voice of a variety of different spokespeople – from doctors to New Age gurus to investment advisors. Plus, I wrote The Mirror of Doom in the voice of a 12-year-old boy, which, I must say, was a ton of fun. This skill will help me capture your words and your voice – and will make your book sound just like YOU.
- My Ability to Sell and Persuade in Print – As a direct response copywriter, I’ve persuaded people to buy everything from health supplements… to investment newsletter subscriptions… to weight loss meal plans. So, “selling” your ideas and expertise by presenting them in an appealing, engaging way is second nature to me.
